The existing Minnesota Pipe Line Company system begins at a storage terminal in Clearbrook, Minnesota, and runs south-southeast toward the Twin Cities. The MinnCan Project, which involves adding a new 24-inch pipeline to the existing MPL system, traverses approximately 304 miles of central Minnesota, using existing rights-of-way as much as practical. The route connects directly to the Flint Hills Resources Refinery and through existing pipeline facilities to the Marathon Petroleum Company’s St. Paul Park Refinery.
